Following a 4 year Oingo Boingo hiatus and a hardcore midlife crisis, lead singer Danny Elfman saws off the Oingo from the band's name and releases Boingo in 1994, celebrating the Oingoless name. The band split a year after.

'Twas the story of the band's most... curious album. This edgy grugefest shows a very surprising deviation from Boingo's expected Oingoness, and it's very evident in its 15 minute songs and incredibly subtle lyrics.
