"just once or twice, is good for your soul"

The Oingo Boingo Fanpage is the unofficial digital fan-temple dedicated to the rock octet Oingo Boingo.
This Boingo Sanctuary aims to house as much information and general cool miscellaneous stuff about the band for all wandering Boingoloids who possess an unquenchable psychotic thirst for more Boingo knowledge, which would otherwise be strewn about haphazardly across the many corners of the Internet.

Those not familiar with the band are also welcome to browse around and try to figure out what the hell any of this is about. It should be noted, however, that Boingoism is very much real, and will cause irreversible mutations to one's psyche and leave listeners hooked on a sonic drug that can never be properly replicated.

If you know what's good for your soul, do not proceed with caution.

OINGO BOINGO
Masterminded by the bizarre Danny Elfman and the devils on his shoulders, Oingo Boingo was formed in the late '70s after he had downsized his jazz-focused former theater troupe into a rock octet. Mixing a hyperactive eccentricity with what can only be described as a musical orgy of multiple genres like punk, new wave, jazz, rock and ska, the band quickly became extremely popular in their native L.A, with varying success everywhere else in their '80s heyday.

Despite their relatively insular fame, Oingo Boingo snuck its way into the soundtracks of many famous movies, leading to Danny becoming a highly successful film composer.

When composing began to take priority over the band, he called it quits: In 1995, after eight albums, hundreds of live shows, some line-up changes, and millions of minds overtaken by Boingoism, Oingo Boingo officially disbanded after a series of back to back sold-out concerts.

Although decades have passed since the band's farewell, the spirit of the band still manages to win over thousands of minds into Boingoism with their unmatched uniqueness and lyrics that, for better or for worse, have kept themselves relevant.
